Phrasal verbs avansate

Verbele cu particulă schimbă complet sensul verbului de bază. La B2 trebuie să le folosești natural în conversație.

  • Look up to someone — a admira pe cineva
  • Put up with — a tolera, a suporta
  • Come up with — a inventa, a propune
  • Get away with — a scăpa cu (ceva nepedepsit)

Mixed conditionals

Combini un timp din condiționalul II cu unul din III pentru a vorbi despre situații ipotetice prezente cu cauze trecute.

  • If I had studied medicine, I would be a doctor now.
  • If she were more careful, she wouldn't have lost her keys.
